Jakob has been putting in serious work ahead of his next competition this week 💪🥋
Over the past few weeks, he’s committed himself fully, taking on multiple private sessions to refine technique, sharpen timing, and build confidence in key areas of his performance. Every session has had purpose, and it’s showing.
Alongside his technical training, Jakob has stepped up his strength & conditioning. From disciplined free weight sessions in the gym to intense HIT workouts, he’s been developing not just strength, but endurance, explosiveness, and mental toughness, all essential for competition day.
Importantly, this progress hasn’t come without its challenges. Managing knee discomfort linked to Osgood-Schlatter disease, Jakob has shown real maturity in how he trains — adapting when needed, staying consistent, and pushing forward with the right balance of effort and recovery.
That resilience and discipline are what truly stand out. It’s not just about the work you do when everything feels good — it’s about how you respond when things get tough. Jakob has handled that brilliantly.
This upcoming competition will be a strong test, not just of skill, but of preparation, mindset, and character. Regardless of the outcome, the progress made in this training block is something to be proud of.
Now it’s time to step onto the mat and perform 👊🔥
