Jakob put on his first gi at Can Do Martial Arts in Abingdon when he was five years old. He had no idea what that first class would lead to. Neither did anyone else.

Eight years later he stands on the JKS England Squad — European medals on the mat, a World Cup spot in Brazil confirmed, and a story still unfolding session by session.

This site documents the journey — the early mornings, the hard rounds, the nerves before competition, and the gradual progress of a young athlete building his future.

Jakob has been selected to compete at the 7th JKS World Shoto Cup & Para Cup in Vitória, Brazil — one of the most prestigious youth karate competitions in the world.
