Jakob has officially returned to full-time training, having been back at the dojo since 5th January, and has started the new year with strong momentum, focus, and determination.
After a valuable end-of-year break to rest and reset, Jakob was eager to resume his routine as soon as the dojo reopened. The year ahead is shaping up to be the most demanding of his career to date, with multiple competitions planned and an intensive training programme already in progress.
At this stage of his development, the focus is no longer on learning new techniques, but on refining and sharpening existing skills. Training is centred around precision, consistency, and small technical adjustments — working towards those moments where kata feels fully aligned and kumite execution is sharp and decisive when points matter most.
Jakob is fully aware that this journey will present challenges. Hard training sessions, moments of doubt, and both physical and mental pressure are an expected part of high-level preparation. Rather than acting as obstacles, these challenges are embraced as essential steps in his continued growth as an athlete.
Alongside the demands of training, Jakob continues to balance school life, additional football training, and competition commitments. With the guidance of his coaching team at CDMA, the encouragement of his peers, and the continued support of sponsors and donors, he remains fully committed to pursuing his goals.
Thank you for your continued belief, encouragement, and support.
