Sometimes you just need a break from training. And by break I mean attempting to eat a burger that is literally taller than my face.

Dad took me out for food the other day and I saw this thing on the menu. I thought yeah I can do that. I train hard. I have stamina. I compete at national level. How hard can a burger be?

Really hard apparently.

The Challenge Was Real

Look at the size of it. There is chicken in there. There is bacon. There is beef. There is cheese. There is lettuce trying its best to make it look healthy. And onion rings just thrown in for good measure. It was held together by wooden sticks like some kind of meat sculpture.

I gave it everything. I really did. I used the same focus I use before stepping onto the mat. Deep breath. Eyes on the target. Go.

But by about halfway through my stomach was telling me this was not a fight I was going to win. And honestly? That is okay.

Rest Days Matter

I am always training. Always thinking about the next session or the next competition. Brazil is coming up and I want to be ready. But sometimes you need to just be a normal 13 year old eating a ridiculous burger with your family.

These moments matter too. They give me energy for everything else. They remind me why I work so hard. So I can have days like this where the biggest challenge is trying to fit something in my mouth that clearly was not designed to be eaten by humans.

I did not finish it. But I am not mad about it. I will call it a draw.
